CSA Veggie Basket

The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a commitment between farmers and consumers that has seen huge growth in the world and in our region over the last few years. In early spring, we offer shares of our seasonal harvest which includes organic fruits, vegetables, herbs, as well as other seasonal perks. The advanced payment provided by the members of the program allow greater predictability and stability for us and in exchange we commit to the delivery of weekly boxes of organic produce as well as providing opportunities for members to connect with fellow foodies and the land and people that grow their food.  This way, both growers and consumers share in the risk and reward of the season and harvest.

Benefits to members:

  • locally produced, organic fruits and vegetables at a fair price

  • opportunity to learn about new vegetables, recipes, and cooking tips

Benefits to farmers:

  • money at the beginning of the season when it is needed for start up

  • guaranteed a reliable price and market for their produce throughout the season

  • build relationships and develop meaning and satisfaction through direct connections with the community

Basket distribution

During the "mini-market" style distribution of shares, we place all the vegetables on a long table with the number of units that you can take of each vegetable. This way you assemble the contents of your basket on your own. Don't forgot a bag (and maybe an umbrella in case of rain). The choice of vegetables varies depending on the time of year and the weather.
